Many have described the 17th century flowered court yard terrace of hotel La Croix Blanche as one of the most beautiful in the region.
Walk through the historic coaching inn's arch and discover our terraces full of flowers.
Soak up the sun or look for shade under the large umbrellas on a warm summer day while enjoying the display of bright pink geraniums on the terraces of our inner court yard.

• breakfast for outside guests 8-10 hrs
• all day drinks : non stop for hotel guests 10-22hrs; outside guests 9h-12h & 15h-18.30hrs
• lunch 12-14.30hrs
• in summer only: snacks 15-18hrs: bruschetta, sharing plates, hot-dog, toasted sandwich, melon, ice creams, desserts...
• dinner 19-20.30hrs (until 20.15 hrs in the winter season)

 

Lunch, dinner and snacks

• lunch and dinner are served on the courtyard terrace every day in summer. Choose from different menus or the à la carte selection of our bistro inspired menu
• the summer lunch menu offers a variety of local dishes, salads, pasta, burger 'maison' and French bistro style dishes
• snacks are served in the afternoon to ensure all day dining
• for dinner a more elaborate yet informal menu and an à la carte selection is on offer at excellent value
• restaurant La Croix Blanche has reasonable prices, an informal atmosphere and unique setting
• by the way: we serve a good English ‘cuppa’ of tea with a delicious cake too

 

Local wine selection

In a relaxing atmosphere you can enjoy a large selection of local Loire Valley wines: white, rosé or red wine, a sparkling Crémant de Loire or a glass of beer on tap or a craft beer accompanied by some snacks, 'charcuterie' or nibbles.
 

Allo, allo - French life for you to observe

For those of you wishing to enjoy French village life while watching passers-by, we suggest sitting at one of the tables on the terrace on Fontevraud’s town square facing the historic fountain and Fontevraud Royal Abbey. Watch the French going about their business: a kiss and a chat, enjoying a glass of wine together, off to the local boulangerie for their baguette, another glass, another kiss...
