Anjou Vintage Bike in Saumur

From June 27 to 29, 2025, Saumur will host a new edition of Anjou Vélo Vintage. As every year, it will bring together cycling enthusiasts, as well as history and heritage enthusiasts.
Between vintage bike rides and open-air concerts, this festive event is a must-see experience!
Much more than just a cycling event, Anjou Vélo Vintage is also an opportunity to discover all the riches of Anjou!

Anjou Vélo Vintage: a timeless festival

Every year, Anjou Vélo Vintage brings together thousands of participants from all over France and beyond to relive the golden age of cycling.
Here, vintage bikes are in the spotlight: only models from before 1987 are accepted with a frame-mounted gear lever.
Tandems, penny-farthings, and other bicycles will take to the starting line in a friendly, retro atmosphere. For this 100% vintage adventure, polka-dot dresses, suspenders, hats, mustaches, and berets are also a must.

Routes suitable for all levels

Whether you're a seasoned cyclist or simply curious, you'll find a route to suit you.
Five loops are available, ranging from 30 to over 100 kilometers, crisscrossing the Saumur vineyards, the banks of the Loire, and troglodyte villages.
Each route is punctuated by gourmet and musical breaks.
You can rent a vintage bike for the day.

A vintage village in the heart of Saumur

Along with the rides, take a tour of the vintage village. Located in the heart of Saumur, it's lively with concerts, a retro market, exhibitions, children's workshops, and food trucks like Le Popoteur and its Camemberts roasted in Liège syrup. To the sound of swing or boogie-woogie, you'll be able to set the festival floor alight with dance classes open to all.
